a great purchase, June 12, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Gore Bike Wear Men's Contest Short Bibtight (Apparel) I was making the switch from shorts to bibs and saw this one online. Amazon had a good price on it, so I purchased. I recently used this bib on a 100K bike ride in the Texas heat. I was tired... but these shorts are great. I wasn't too hot and I stayed comfortable for the whole ride.
I'm going to look for a second pair soon.

I used Pearl Izumi TM before I had these and the padding on them was just not as dense as these. With these the padding is thinner then my others but they are denser and more bump resistant. I find myself sliding on my saddle a lot and with waist shorts I had to hike them up every once and a while but with these they stay right where you need them. I am 6' 3" and I found that they run a little small so I would recommend ordering one size larger.
